At Geneva Watch Days 2025, BVLGARI once again demonstrated its ability to shape the future of the watchmaking industry.

With three remarkable novelties, the Octo Finissimo Lee Ufan, the Octo Finissimo Marble Tourbillon, and the new Bronzo Collection, the Roman Maison reaffirmed its position at the intersection of art, heritage and mechanical ingenuity.

It was a presentation that drew deeply on Rome’s spirit. Marble, the eternal stone of the city; bronze, the alloy that armed legions and adorned monuments; and collaboration with contemporary artists, echoing the dialogue between antiquity and the present day.

The Octo Finissimo Lee Ufan: Sculpture for the Wrist

The collaboration between BVLGARI and Korean-born artist Lee Ufan reflects a shared philosophy: beauty is found in the dialogue between presence and absence.

The Octo Finissimo Lee Ufan is limited to only 150 pieces, yet each watch feels singular in its execution.

Its titanium case and integrated bracelet are brushed by hand, creating a raw and tactile surface that contrasts with the mirrored dial. This polished face recalls Lee’s exploration of reflection and infinity.

Within the slender 5.5 millimetre profile beats the BVL 138 calibre, an ultra-thin automatic movement with a micro-rotor that provides 60 hours of power reserve. On the reverse, Lee Ufan’s handwritten signature is etched into the sapphire caseback, transforming each watch into a personal dialogue between creator and collector.

This is horology as sculpture, a piece that transcends the function of timekeeping and becomes wearable art.

The Octo Finissimo Marble Tourbillon: The Eternal Stone

The Octo Finissimo Marble Tourbillon draws upon Rome’s enduring association with marble, the stone of temples, palaces and statues that still define the Eternal City.

Yet here it has been reinterpreted in the most delicate of settings: a deep-blue marble dial, polished to reveal the natural veins of the stone.

Housed in a 40 millimetre platinum case that stands only 4.85 millimetres high, this creation is powered by the hand-wound BVL 268 calibre, a movement barely 1.95 millimetres thick yet carrying a flying tourbillon and 52 hours of reserve.

Working with marble at such a scale demands extraordinary precision, for the material is as fragile as it is majestic.

Only 30 pieces will be produced, each dial unique in its natural patterning, making every watch a fragment of Italy’s landscape captured in platinum and stone. It is both a tribute to Roman permanence and a triumph of modern watchmaking.

The Bronzo Collection: Strength with Soul

For the first time, bronze enters the BVLGARI Aluminium line, bringing with it a material that has defined strength and artistry since antiquity.

The Bronzo Collection launches with two distinct models: a chronograph that speaks to motorsport-inspired precision, and a GMT designed for the global traveller.

The Bronzo Chronograph is driven by the automatic B381 calibre with a 42-hour power reserve, enclosed in a sandblasted bronze case paired with a black rubber bezel. Its counters and tachymeter scale underscore its performance-driven design.

The Bronzo GMT houses the automatic B192 calibre with 50 hours of reserve, offering dual-time functionality displayed on a lacquered 24-hour disc with rose-gold plated hands.

Both watches are water-resistant to 100 metres, making them as robust as they are refined.

The appeal of bronze lies in its evolution. Over time, the alloy develops a unique patina that ensures no two cases are ever identical. For collectors, this means a watch that changes with its wearer, acquiring a distinct character that is wholly personal.

A Roman Vision of Time

Together, these three timepieces form a narrative of continuity between Rome’s past and BVLGARI’s present.

The Lee Ufan collaboration celebrates the artistic dialogue between cultures, the Marble Tourbillon reimagines the Eternal City’s most symbolic material, and the Bronzo Collection transforms an ancient alloy into a modern expression of luxury sport.

This was a reminder that BVLGARI does not simply measure time, but shapes its meaning.
