Dr. David Seyffer, historian and curator of the IWC Museum, has spent decades immersed in the stories embedded in every watch IWC has ever created. For him, each timepiece is a fragment of history, a testament to technical ingenuity, and a reflection of the people who designed and wore it.

With the launch of IWC. Curated, Dr. Seyffer invites collectors to step inside that history; to experience watches restored to their original spirit while carrying the assurance of IWC’s craftsmanship today.

“IWC. Curated. is about allowing watch lovers to own a watch that has shaped our legacy,” Dr. Seyffer explains. “Each timepiece is prepared meticulously, ready to begin its next chapter.”

The collection brings together historically significant timepieces, carefully selected and restored in Schaffhausen with meticulous attention to detail. Experts from the IWC Museum choose each watch, and master watchmakers restore movements, cases, and bracelets, often using original components.

Every watch emerges authenticated, certified, and accompanied by IWC’s International Limited Warranty, extendable up to eight years.

The inaugural collection highlights several defining moments in IWC’s history. The Ingenieur SL, Reference 1832, designed in the 1970s by Gérald Genta, combines technical sophistication with bold design, capturing a moment when engineering and artistry converged.

The Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph (Ref. 3750), launched in 1985, introduced Kurt Klaus’s perpetual calendar, a complication celebrated for its intuitive operation entirely through the crown.

Meanwhile, the Navigator’s Wristwatch Mark 11, created in 1952 for the British Royal Air Force, exemplifies the precision and clarity that have long defined IWC’s tool watches.

IWC. Curated. is available in select boutiques worldwide, including Schaffhausen, London’s Battersea Power Station, Dubai Mall, and Tokyo’s Ginza district.

Its limited availability reflects IWC’s commitment to an experience of discovery as much as to the watches themselves.

Since 1868, IWC has combined technical innovation with enduring design. From the Portugieser to Pilot’s Watches, the maison has created timepieces that balance elegance and durability, pioneering advanced materials while embracing responsible sourcing.

Through IWC. Curated., Dr. Seyffer and his team offer collectors a chance to continue the story of IWC, to own a piece of horological history, and to carry it into the future.
