Bold, provocative, and unmistakably graphic, the Louis Erard x Monica Bonvicini “Not For You” watch challenges more than conventions; it challenges the wearer. Conceived for the 14th edition of Art Genève, this collaboration transforms one of Bonvicini’s signature installations into a wristwatch, merging conceptual art with haute horlogerie.
Housed in a polished 39 mm stainless steel case, the watch makes a statement even before the dial is revealed. A domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating ensures clarity, while the mirrored message “not for you” emblazoned on the case back delivers immediate visual impact.
The design is both architectural and slightly confrontational—a piece that asks us to reflect on our relationship with objects, art, and the act of possession itself.
Limited to just 178 pieces, this automatic watch carries the subtle glamour and rebellious energy typical of Bonvicini’s work, combining the raw appeal of rock aesthetics with Louis Erard’s meticulous Swiss craftsmanship.
With a water resistance of 50 metres and a transparent case back revealing the movement, it is as functional as it is conceptually striking.
