NORQAIN Adds a Touch of Gold to the Wild ONE Skeleton
NORQAIN adds 18k gold to the Wild ONE Skeleton 39mm, creating a refined and contemporary interpretation of its signature technical design.
NORQAIN has introduced two new editions of the Wild ONE Skeleton 39mm, marking a notable development for the young Swiss brand.
Known for its focus on modern materials and an independent approach to watchmaking, NORQAIN now adds 18 karat gold to one of its core collections for the first time. The result is a pair of watches that feel both familiar and distinctly elevated.

The Wild ONE line has always been characterised by its unusual case construction, which unites a titanium container with the brand’s proprietary NORTEQ composite.
The engineering behind it is purposeful. It creates a rigid, lightweight structure with a recognisable silhouette and a tactile quality that sets the collection apart. Introducing gold into this format could easily have tipped the design out of balance, but here it enhances the architecture rather than competing with it.
The yellow gold edition is limited to fifty pieces and uses 18 karat 3N gold for the upper case plate. The tone is warm and understated, sitting neatly against the black NORTEQ back plate.

The open-worked black dial continues the restrained approach, offering a clean view of the skeletonised movement without unnecessary embellishment. A black rubber strap with a Milanese pattern adds texture while keeping the focus on the case.
The red gold model offers a different personality. Its 18 karat 5N gold top plate sits over a brown NORTEQ back section, which gives the watch an appealing depth of colour.
The open-worked silver dial with black print brings clarity and contrast. Paired with a white rubber strap, it presents a more contemporary, slightly more expressive interpretation of the design.

Both versions include an 18-karat gold plate on the left side of the case that can be engraved. It is a small detail, but one that adds a welcome sense of intention and makes either piece well-suited for gifting.
Inside, the skeletonised automatic movement is housed in a sandblasted titanium container, which keeps the watches light and comfortable.
The movement architecture is open without being fragile and suits the overall design, which relies on structure, proportion and contrast rather than ornamental features.

These new additions do not alter the identity of the Wild ONE but expand its possibilities. They introduce precious metal to a technically driven line in a way that feels coherent and thoughtful.
For collectors who appreciate independent brands and modern design but also value the presence and longevity of gold, these models represent a well-judged evolution.
